Hi. I’m Emily. I started sewing a LONG time ago, but really stepped up the quality in 2012, thanks to some craftsy.com classes (thank you Susan Khalje!).
I moved to Wisconsin in the summer of 2013 to be with Mr. Wonderful. Moving led to a period of voluntary unemployment, which led to a dramatic increase in time available for sewing. This led to a desire to take pictures of the finished garments being worn in interesting locations, and to post said pictures along with thoughts on process and fit on a blog.
Also, I knit. Knitting is much slower than sewing, though it is more portable. There may be some knit items featured here from time to time. After a few years of knitting, I got curious about where yarn comes from and learned how to spin. Spinning wool is my secret weapon against the Wisconsin Winter.
I want to try upholstery and block cut printing soon.
I’m learning how to fly single engine airplanes.
And training for a 10k running race.
I am resisting a slight urge to learn about weaving, as I already have too many hobbies.
